The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government-sponsored public service program conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. Popularly known as NSS, the scheme was launched in Gandhiji's Centenary year in 1969. Aimed at developing student's personality through community service, NSS is a voluntary association of young people in Colleges, Universities and at +2 level working for a campus-community linkage.
The purpose of establishing this National Service Scheme in our college campus is to create strong social awareness among the students, imparts personality development to its members through study & work in the camps. There are Three units (3 Units) of NSS are actively functioning in the college campus. The strength of each unit is 100.
To achieve the objectives of the NSS, our volunteers are actively participating in various activities such as Environmental, Health and Education awareness, Awareness on Voting Rights, AIDS, Blood and Eye Donation, Road Safety, Conservation of Electricity, Socio-economic Survey and Self Employment Awareness. Our NSS volunteers are actively participating in campus cleaning work periodically throughout the academic year. They also involve themselves as a volunteer in regular academic activities such as fresher’s counseling and assists the faculties during admission, conduct of meetings and functions. Our NSS units selected Valajanagaram,Eruthukkaranpatti villages are their adopted villages for the past three years and carried out many camp activities like tree plantation programmes, various public awareness programmes, medical and veterinary camps.
The Youth Red Cross is a constituent of Indian Red Cross Society. The main objectives are creating an awareness on the care of their own health and to enable the spirit of service and sense of duty with dedication and devotion amongst the student community. The major activities of YRC are conducting various programmes like Campus Cleaning, First Aid Camp, health and nutrition. Every year a blood group testing camp is conducted for the benefits of newly admitted UG and PG students of our college. Students with rare blood groups are encouraged for donating blood to the needy

RRC was created in 1991 by the visual artists caucus , New York city America. RRC is a movement started by the Govt. of India in schools and colleges through which students will spread awareness over HIV/AIDS. The symbol Red Ribbon as an awareness ribbon is used as the symbol for the solidarity of people living with HIV/AIDS and for the awareness and prevention of drug abuse and drunk driving. Every year December 1st is celebrated as a World Aids Day.
To reduce new occurrences of HIV infection among youth by raising their risk perception through awareness on HIV prevention methods. To induce the spirit among youth to help and support people living with HIV/AIDS thereby reducing stigma and discrimination against PLHWAS.

Chief guest Ms.R.Sundary was delivered special speech and interaction session on HIV, AIDS Disease and its prevention methods with 100 rrc participants

Chief guest Ms.R.Sundary was delivered special speech and interaction session with 100 rrc participants. She spokes on HIV, AIDS Disease and its prevention methods.
Blood Grouping and Blood Donation camp was conducted by RRC, GAC Ariyalur and TANSAC at GAC, Ariyalur on 21.02.2017. This program was inaugurated by Dr.Anbukkani, Assistant surgeon, GHQH, Ariyalur along with the principal of the college Dr.Gretta Mary Thendral, Mr.M.Karthikeyan District Manager, DACPU, Ariyalur and Ms.N.Geetha, Councellor,STI, GUQH, Ariyalur. Totally 1063 members was find their blood group and 24 students were registered to donate their blood.
